“It might be a profession for some and an art for many. But for us, it’s a need, a need to provide deliverance to hundreds of human emotions and transcend from the chaos surrounding us. It’s the way we relate with people and seek beauty in creation. For us, dance is a manifestation of serenity and divinity. It’s our belief that dance can shape their destinies, when they are brought together. We hope to see this belief of ours materialize in form of Chalana- dance for a cause, the dream and vision of Chitra Arvind, Artistic Director. It’s also our intention to give the audience a glimpse into our spell binding journey and introduce enthusiasts to new possibilities. Your support is our strength and that strength is our belief.”

About the Artistic Director – Chitra Arvind represents a vibrant new generation of dance makers. Her approach to choreography is ingenious, fresh and inspiring. She fuses Indian dance culture with highly individual sounds of the artists to produce works that are innovative and bang up-to-date. Abhinaya (Expression), Nritta (technique) and Natya (Drama) aspects of Nritya (dance) have been thoroughly explored by Chitra to create the magic.

We also have an array of Repertoire under our belt. From conducting our own classical and contemporary dance festival Chalana – dance for a cause, to organizing dance workshops and seminars, both online and offline, we have worked on every possible platform that dance provides.
